ABOUT MICHELE WILLIAMS
Michele was born in a small country town called Bradford-on-Avon in England, at
the age of four her parents immigrated to Zambia, first Lusaka and then Kitwe where
Michele spent her childhood. At the age of twelve they moved to Zimbabwe, then known as
Rhodesia, and shortly after moved to South Africa.
Michele completed her schooling in S.A. and worked several corporate jobs until in her
late twenties she was introduced to Aromatherapy. She studied at night school Anatomy
& Physiology for a year, followed by another year of study in Aromatherapy.
In order to gain experience on the practical side of working with clients from all walks
of life, and identify their individual needs with empathy and understanding, Michele
became a volunteer for St Lukes Hospice West Coast from 1994 to 2002. Primarily giving
patients gentle massage which not only relieved symptoms of pain and discomfort but
afforded the patients the invaluable sense of touch which many lacked due to disfigurement
or skin disorders. She also assisted family in their homes with bed bathing and other
duties along those lines. The experienced gained during this time was absolutely
invaluable and has assisted Michele in her private practice with many clients who were
undergoing cancer treatment, aids, trauma, abuse and other terminal illnesses, in addition
she is able to provide support and counseling to families of the patients.
As she was still working corporately and had two children in primary school, Michele
slowly built her practice over weekends and evenings. In 1998 she resigned her corporate
job and opened up her Aromatherapy practice full time.
It was during this time that Michele started to see colors and shapes around her clients
and sense energetic vibrations, curious to learn more she studied Reiki and graduated at
Master/Teacher level, she found this enhanced her experiences of the unseen energy field
surrounding our bodies and gave her a deeper understanding of metaphysics.
Eager to discover more and being an avid spiritual seeker of self growth and potential
Michele went on to study the Electro Magnetic Field Balancing which again heightened her
senses toward energy and propelled her forward in a spurt of personal growth.
In 2001 at the request of her daughter and friends, Michele started the Indigo Club for
teenagers, who already had a powerful sense of knowing and experiencing energy but weren't
quite sure what it was and how to harness it. During the same year Michele organized two
Health for Body and Mind Fairs in Edgemead in order to create awareness within the
community as to what choices they had available to them in complimentary health, both of
which were very successful/
In 2002 Michele completed an eleven-day Vision Quest, of which five days and four nights
are spent alone in the mountain with only a sleeping bag and water on which to survive.
Without distractions such as fellow humans, food, music, reading materials or other
creature comforts one cannot hide from self and is forced to face ones personal inner
demons we all feel so uncomfortable acknowledging. The Quest clears emotional baggage,
aids one to realize their strengths and weaknesses and hopefully gives one a clear vision
for their future path.
After the Vision Quest Michele started teaching Reiki and has taught over 60 students in
levels one and two, and has graduated 24 Master students and 3 teachers. During this time,
ever seeking knowledge and truth Michele studied Pranic Healing and in 2004 was called by
the ancestors to study African Traditional Healing.
One does not actually study traditional healing; rather it is a grueling and intense
training rather like that of a US Marine. The day starts at 3am with drumming and trance
dancing, known as Bengalela, which is done four times a day and additionally any time a
Sangoma comes on to the property. The dancing lasts for approximately three quarter hour,
this is done to enhance the connection to spirit by letting go of the logical mind and
activate the Kundalini energy. A Twasana (trainee) is never idle, if not working with
patients or herbs, one will clean windows, wash floors, bead anything as long as not idle.
Twice a day the Twasana is required to steam, known as Futa, once in the morning and again
in the evening. A boiling drum of herbs is placed before you, naked you are covered with
blankets encompassing the drum of herbs and for at least half an hour you are left to
sweat and go into a meditational state where often visions will occur. This is a form of
purification and is actually very pleasant. The Twasanas are also involved in the
different methods of traditional healing and readings with the patients. After five months
of intensive and exhausting training in Guguletu, Cape Town Michele spent a month in
Mangweni, a tiny rural village close to the Swaziland border. Mangweni was a different
world, a village where Sangomas were a dime a dozen and absolutely no white faces to be
seen, so being a white Twasana caused much amusement, bewilderment and excitement for the
local residents. Here the training intensified yet again, one remains constantly in their
traditional garb and is called only by their spiritual name till eventually one loses all
sense of their personality self and truly becomes ingrained with spirit. By the end of the
training one is left mentally, physically and emotionally spent yet stronger than ever
before. Michele graduated in 2004 in the methods: Sinye, Mahlabo & Kutwasisa and is a
member of the Traditional Healers Organization For Africa.
In 2007 Michele trained under Eric Pearl and his staff Reconnective Healing and The
Reconnection, this study led almost immediately to the learning of how to practice The
Whole Self Integration and Cellular Healing. Each modality adds on to the previous
training and experiences that Michele has
used to benefit and assist those who need help in energetic support and guidance along
their own spiritual journey. It is important to note that whilst these modalities are of
great advantage to ones spiritual growth, they are also of great benefit on a physical,
mental and emotional level as well.
As Michele has graduated three teachers in Reiki she is now moving on to teaching the more
advanced modalities of esoterics such as the Electro Magnetic Field Balancing and
Energetic Massage. She also realized that there was a need for healers, students and
clients to have tools that assisted and supported their endeavors and so has introduced a
product line that is both
appealing and effective.
